Get To Know The Team
Shona also held another passion in looking after animals and after graduating high school in 2006 shona went on to study in Armidale and later spend the next 8 years in the Veterinary industry. After marrying her husband Jordan in 2015 and having their first child Corbin, the opportunity came up to join the family business Redtie in 2016. Shona now handles all bookings for Redtie and loves working in such a varied industry to help clients bring their dream events to life.
After graduating high school in 2008 James went on Australian Idol placing 3rd out of 25,000 potential contestants. From there he travelled the country in an van playing music for over 2 years. After spending 3 months in 2014 backpacking the world James came back with a vision. To create a company that gave the best young talent in Australia an opportunity to play at some of the most exciting events across Australia, and so Redtie was born! Since then Redtie has grow to becoming one of the most in demand entertainment providers in Australia. Redtie has looked after shows in 11 countries and counting and has performed over 1000 events.
James also has a passion for writing his own original country music and when he can jumps on his motorbike around the hills of Brisbane.
After marrying her husband Grant, Marie went on to work in the Farm Machinery industry, where she was the owner operator of Chelmsford Farm Machinery with Grant for 30 years, becoming the leading dealer in the NSW north coast region. After selling the business in 2016 the opportunity came up to join her son James and daughter Shona in the family business Redtie. Marie now handles all accounts for Redtie and loves working in a new industry full of enthusiastic young musicians.
Marie also mainly works remotely and you will regularly find her sending emails from the back of her motorhome in some exotic location around Australia or pulling up for a coffee after a long ride on her Motorbike.
Through Jakes high school years he would regularly play venues around South east Queensland and when the opportunity came up to play with a newly formed band Bringinshaw with his brother Alex he jumped at the opportunity. The band went onto to play at some of the biggest festivals across Australia as well as toured throughout the States.
After meeting his now fiancé Jamie, Jake decided to move to Melbourne but after spending a year playing around Melbourne Jake heard about many of his old band mates playing for Redtie back in Queensland and after a call with James, Jake and Jamie were packing their bags to head back to the sunshine state. Jake soon flourished in the band as a drummer and was soon asked to become permeant member of the behind the scenes team. Jake now handles all marketing for Redtie and you will still find him behind the kit every week as part of Redtie Band.
